Universal Brand Development’s Vanessa Fung receives a Women in Toy (WIT) Wonder Woman Award for Rising Star - Designer Inventor of the Year.

The WIT awards celebrate remarkable women for their extraordinary achievements, leadership skills and for serving as role models. As the Rising Star: Designer Inventor of the Year recipient, Fung was recognized for her excellence in product design. 

Fung is a senior designer on the toys and hardlines team at UBD and has worked across many of the Studio’s biggest franchises. In her current role, she manages daily product development across multi-category and preschool brands. 

Fung is the go-to person for challenging projects and highly regarded for her product innovation. Most recently, Fung marked her first foray into the design and development of a complex toy program, managing the product development for Illumination’s Sing 2 toy line with global master toy partner, TOMY. 

After graduating at the Art Center College of Design in 2014, Fung began her career at Hasbro, working on top toys brands including Star Wars, GI Joe, Jurassic World, Power Rangers, among others.
